Year End Reminders

Update tax tables BEFORE processing your first 2011 payroll.  Tax table updates are expected to be available on December 17, 2010 for download from SAGE Online.  Sage will also release updates throughout January 2011 as further changes to the tax laws require.  You will need to download and install the 2011 tax table update for Q1 before running your first payroll of 2011.  We are available to assist you with this process if necessary.

Also, check into the new Federal Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment ACT (HIRE).  Hiring unemployed workers may qualify your company for a 6.2% payroll tax incentive.  Call us with any payroll questions you might have or to change your 941 to comply with the HIRE Act.

Dumb Law of the Month

This month's winnner is from Texas:
"When two trains meet each other at a railroad crossing, each shall come to a full stop, and neither shall proceed until the other has gone."  Unfortunately, this has also become the model for Congress.

Holiday Closings

Friendly Systems will be closed Friday December 24th and Friday December 31.  We wish all of you happy and safe celebrations
