Georgia Will Pay You To Telework

The Georgia Telework Tax Credit allows businesses to deduct up to $20,000 in setup and training costs, plus $1200 for each new teleworking employee. At Friendly Systems, we have always done this. Personally, after seven years of working from home, I would find it very difficult to go back to having to show up at an office every morning. The two hours a day I don't waste commuting let's me spend more time being productive and more time with my family. Add to that the benefit of not adding to pollution levels and oil companies' billion dollar profits, and pay less taxes - who wouldn't want to do this.

A three page application must be filed with Georgia before October 31 to participate. For additional information, see the Clean Air Campaign website.

Tech Tip: Grid Searches & Customization

Beginning with Sage Mas 90 and 200 version 4.00, grids are being added to more and more data entry programs in the system. Version 4.00 added grids to GL Journal Entries, 4.10 to AR Invoice Entry and SO Sales Order and Invoice Entry, and 4.20 to AP Invoice Entry. Two nice features of these grids are Grid-customization, and Grid searches. Read about this and other support tips in our blog.
